400 YEARS OF DUTCH MASTERS
We present a curated collection of Dutch masterpieces spanning exactly four centuries (1624–2024), featuring the oldest painting from 1624 and the most recent artwork from 2024.
The exhibition features 11 historic artworks from the Dutch Golden Age, including masterpieces by Rembrandt, Simon Luttichuys, Hercules Sanders, and a unique pendant painted by a pupil of Frans Hals. Among these treasures is a newly rediscovered Piet Mondriaan, created at the age of 24.
The exhibition also features aweinspiring contemporary pieces, such as Diet Wiegman’s light sculpture, Joop Polder’s serene landscapes, Noah Voûte’s textural abstractions, alongside works by Jeroen Buitenman, Gerti Bierenbroodspot, the Rotterdam based sculptor Anthon Hoornweg, Mirage Photography by Annemarie Voûte and the talented Jeffrey Burger. Furthermore, there are bronze sculptures on display by Chris Tap and Elise Coenen. The multi-talented Isaac Monté has created two crystal vases from his Mineral Series.
“Culture is an important component to connect people. Both locally and regionally. It’s a natural component for bringing people together and discussing ideas”. Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani
